Okay I love UE, but I don't want to pay for it after the trial is up.

Anyone use any other text editors that are noteworthy?

Well yeha, but obviously something a little more functional than notepad... I'm actually mainly interested in syntax coding, since I use text editors mostly for c++ and java

Textpad does not remove functionality after the trial period. It is the best text editor that I have ever used.

I love UltraEdit and usage it exclusively. The only thing I wish UE had was better regular expressions support. Its dialect is annoying...

I might try some of those other editors. I've used MultiEdit and TextPad before, but I always go back to UltraEdit.

Add Context to CyGho list!

They are all good....
I normally use Context for C/C++ programming and Crimson for Tex/Latex!!!
