Alternative to iTunes?

Hi all
I have an iPod mini. Recently, I tried to add some audio teaching programs from my harddrive. These have hundreds of tracks, and they must be listened to in sequential order. Anyway, when I added them to my iTunes library (to add to my iPod) iTunes "organized" them for me. They were all mixed up, and I could find no way to order them as per the source files. The only option I can think of is to rename each track with numbers. This seems rediculous, as it will take ages, and I want to keep the original names anyway.

Any ideas?

In iTunes you can right click on the track then select "Get Info" then hit the info tab and you should be able input a track number there. It might take a while though.......

I hate itunes and the interface blows chunks. It takes forever to create playlists and organize music using it. I asked apple to allow windows explorer to drag and drop music onto the ipod but you know they just ignored me. I tried anapod explorer but I didn't care for it. Apple has purposely made it difficult for pc users to interface with their product. If it wasn't for the fact that my car stereo has an ipod controller I'd have purchased something else. Apples make great pies but lousy electronics.
