Hello, i have recently ordered all the parts necessary to build my first computer, except the video card, which im not sure on yet. The problem is, i purchased a pci-express motherboard, which means no agp slots. The problem lies in the fact that i would like to put the computer together now, but i dont have any spare pci video cards to connect a monitor to, all i have is older agp cards. Is there any alternative to get a monitor hooked up in my situation? All i need is someway to connect my monitor to my computer just to set up the bios and stuff until i purchase my pci express card.

I dont think so. A cheap pci card is like $20 just toss one in and you can later use it for a dual monitor setup or something.

get a geforce 5200 pci for $50 and it has 2 vga ports. it will also last a while for non 3d things. or you can do what cripyfried said.
