Alternative to ESPN.com?

ESPN is the shithole. Nearly everything interesting is premium, and it even plays an ad when you load the page. What are the best alternatives for sports commentary and news?

I just read Yahoo & once in a while listen to the audio commentary. Any more then that, you might as well listen to wfan.

sportsline.com, si.com, foxsports.com, sportingnews.com and my favorite site, collegefootballnews.com (obvisously just for college football)

ive checked espn.com for the soccer scores and goddammit, seriously...i cant find scores worth my life. some stupid popup with espn 360 or espn live whatever pops up and its always blank in firefox. i just want some scores, no ads please! kthxbye.

I've been getting mighty pissed at them for this lately as well and am on board in finding another source. :frown:

I read ESPN for the Page 2 guys - especially Bill Simmons and the Daily Quickie. Other than that...CBS Sportsline or Fox Sports

Considering the amount of content though, ESPN's premium content is not priced that high.

You can get it from 10-20 bucks for an entire year, since you get premium content with a magazine subscription. (The only reason i ordered the magazine).
