I'm currently looking for High speed internet service (DSL/Cable) and I came across an offer from EarthLink for their new Fixed wireless internet access. If you pre-order they give you free equipment, free Prof. installation and a monthly rate of $42.95.

Limegreen.. so whats yer point? you don't like that they give regular dialup with the wireless? hehe.

Looks like a good service. Sprint broadband apparently couldn't make it out here.. they quit taking customers.
 
I'm not familiar with Earthlink's wireless, but the wireless ISP that's available around here works fine for gaming. Latency is almost as good as DSL.
 
popeye44: Actually Sprint had to stop taking customers due to the FCC. Something about Sprint using bandwidth that was allocated for celluar customers or the FCC wanted the bandwidth to be used for celluar customers only.

Imagine being close enough to an AP to get 11mbit dl's!

I'm guessing they are using 802.11a or b networks.
