Looking for something for my parents, for free, like Callwave, but one that doesn't keep putting a bunch of cache and cookies in the windows folder like Callwave does. Is there such a thing?
Does Callwave still do this?
The newest modems (v.92) have "modem on hold" . . . you can get calls while on dial-up but must "interrupt" your session to answer them. . . . "Call-waiting" service from your phone co is required.
That's internet telephony (make phone calls through the net). Callwave is a service that lets you take calls while online, or let the caller leave a msg instead.
