Alternative Oscars? What do you think?

oscars are boring to watch anyways. i just recorded it so i could skip to all the john stewart bits. i really don't care what actors have to say. its like if baseball players had to make a speech everytime they reached home base. i don't care, i only want ot know if u scored.
 
hmm.. don't know about this specific one.. but I have grown increasingly frustrated with the academy awards as a decision making body and the results. It's far too much of a popularity contest. I don't care if 100,000,000 people saw it - I wanna know what's best and really worthy of an award for excellence.
