I'm tired of the problems with microsofts service. I've only found the Boingo application, but I haven't gotten it to work at all.

What do you guys use?

Intel ProSET for my 2200BGs

However I have a nagging hunch that this software is making my laptops hang on boot. I have yet to confirm this.

So you're using the Microsoft Wireless client. Find out what kind of card you have (hint: device manager) and download the appropriate software from the manufacturer's website.

Not every Wireless is compatible with WZC.

Usually if the card does not come with its own utility it would mean that it was found by the manufacturer to be compatible with WZC.

In most cases once the initial setting is done there is nothing to manage.

If you need to log to independent Networks you can try www.netswitcher.com

May be if you would explain what exactly you need to mange, someone can come with an alternative method.

My card is a Ralink miniPCI b/g card and they don't appear to provide a management app. I tried netswitcher as well, but it couldn't do what I want.

All that I need is for the NIC to automatically connect to my home router when I boot or awake from standby or hibernation and stay connected. I haven't been able to connect at all without WZC enabled, but it kicks me off after a few minutes. For now, I stop/start the WZC service, "repair" the connection a few times and I get connected, and finally stop WZC to stay online.

Thanks for the assistance guys.
