Hello, I've used NIS for the past 2 years. The first year it was pretty good but 2005 has frustrated me beyond belief. I cannot let programs connect to the internet no matter what I do and I am always disabling it. Right now I am using windows firewall and it has been decent, although I miss NOrton's ad blocking and antispam features. Is there a good security package out there that will not have me constantly disabling it just to let programs run? Thanks

Hi there,

About a year ago I switched to Grisoft's AVG Anti-Virus, and it's worked marvelously well for the three PC's I keep in the house (all running XP pro). Grisoft offers a free personal edition for home users, and i've really enjoyed using it as my default virus protection.

I use Kaspersky for AV and Zone Alarm for firewall. Been using ZA for my software firewall for years now and never had any problems with it.
