Altech Lansing 251 set any good?

I was browsing newegg and I saw this set and I was wondering if they were as good or better compared to the logitech z540's...it's a 5.1 setup...I was looking at some reviews and most of them were positive...however all of them said that the quality gets thrown out the window at high volumes...which I don't care for anyways...but what's your opinion?

I don't know about the altec lansings but one of my systems is running the logitech z540s and I really like them. yes htey are 4.1 and not 5.1 but the sound quality is very good for the price. If the Altech Lansings are around the same price point as the z540s then remember you get what you pay for. But I do know that tomshardware.com has some very reliable reviews of a range of 5.1 and 4.1 speakers out there and their reviews are very trustworthy. They also list the best buys for price and quality for both 4.1 and 5.1s at the end of the article if I remember correctly.

They are a great buy, I'm using them with NForce sound. Great quality, and more than loud enough for me. Newegg has them for around 70 bucks, I think.

Do you think you have your sub too loud? Mine are pretty damn clear at high volumes.
