mikedw,

The guy who works across from me go them and I am impressed with the sound. He paid $40 last month at BestBuy, so I figured $15 is worth it. Go them yesterday and I am still impressed with the sound! No distortion at high volumes or deep bass!

Remember this mantra when dealing with Staples.

YOUR MILEAGE WILL VARY.

Things that have been known to work.

1.Just keep calling until you get a different CSR. They do have different call centers. Also, try calling the "other" staples number for the catalog division. I have gotten deals there when I couldn't at the internet store.

2. Try to wear them down and don't hang up. I have heard they get fired if they hang up on a customer so some people use this method. I personally don't because I get enough headaches when dealing with Staples and prefer just to hang up and try again.

3. Before you even start anything ask them to check in your zip code area before you give your customer number, etc since some people are on the "Most Wanted" list ..lol. If they don't have it in your zip code ask them to DCC it which means send from the next available warehouse UPS. This has worked for me. (thanks Vladik for that info)

4. If they try to add next day shipping on a price match you can always go through the order process and if they tell you that you will receive your goods on any day other than the next day then tell them they can't charge you next day shipping.

I have a question on the rebate thing...I printed out the form...Do I add the Item# to it and paste on the UPC Barcode, then mail it? I'm not really clear on what I need to do.

Decided not to risk SKU online not matching the SKU that rebate requires, so bought in Staples B&M last night for $49.95. So my final cost will be $29.95 after rebate, still a pretty good deal.

Hope your rebates work from your online orders, $15 or less would be a really sweet deal....

I asked in the B&M Staples about using online coupons in B&M Staples. Assistant Manager said the issue just came up, and you cannot use them. National Staples doesn't reimburse the store, or something similar.

Cross street / landmarks should mean any cross streets or landmarks that are nearby your address, making it easier for the driver to locate...

is there a way to adjust the treble & bass with this suckers instead of doing it through software? The bass is a little to overwhelming for me and the treble is kinda low.

I just received my speakers today. I never got a confirmation email that they shipped so, i dont have a dang receipt for purchasing. Also, the rebate form says "Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions." So, WTF!?! If i get them to mail me a receipt it will have the $20 off coupon listed, so what are the chances of actually getting the $20 mail-in rebate?? I'm thinking about returning these suckers, i only ordered them cause they seemed like a good deal on a second set of speakers (i dont really need them). Any opinions??

All that "not valid with ..." means is that you can't get 2 rebates on the same product. The fact that you used a coupon on your purchase makes no difference. This was covered MANY times in the past, you must have just missed it. Isn't there a place online where you can print your receipt from your past order history?

bigbigsavings......thanks for the info about the coupon "not making a difference"....yes i went to my order history but, the doesnt seem to be a way to print a "final" receipt there is just a table showing the order history with this printed above it: "Your Order On 9/7/00
The table below shows the items you ordered. This table does not necessarily represent the final
order if any changes were made due to product availability, credit card authorization, tax and
coupons. This order history should be used only for your own reference; it can not be used for tax or
billing purposes."
So, i dont think it would be valid for the rebate...i will just call them and have them send me a receipt via email.
thanks fer the help..

just called staples.....she said they use the packing slip as the receipt for the rebate. she said it doesnt matter that there is no price (OR COUPON)on it. I asked about the difference in the SKU# and she said to just highlight the product description on the packing slip that shows it is the same product as the rebate specifies.

Hey, does anyone have this rebate form printed out? If you do could you either scan it or mail it to me? I bought the speakers during the promotional time, but just recently recieved it, and now the rebate isn't even offered online. Any help please? Thanks! :)
