Hi people which one would you go for? Why? I find these systems in most polls to run almost head to head. Is the 400 watts on the Klipsch really mean that it's about 3 times the power of the ada890 which runs up to 120 watts?

Here's another thing to think about...I can get the ADA890 for $224 OEM while I haven't found a place that sells the 4.1 for less than $300.

Also....should I just wait for the promedia 5.1 ? Will it be worth $400?

From everything I've heard the Promedia's are better speakers. The Promedia's are THX certified, which means they meet particular standards on noise and distortion, standards that most speakers (especially computer speakers) couldn't meet. I would get the 4.1s if you would be using them for gaming or regular computer audio, and the 5.1s if you intend on watching movies on your pc.

I have not heard anything about the Altec Lansings. In general they are good speakers. It comes down to a money issue, if you can spring $300 get the Promedias.

We should be publishing our review of the ADA890 system in the next week or so. Check back for it to get an indepth look at how it all comes together.

For a quick reference as far as the power goes, the ADA890 is definitely quieter than the Promedia 2.1 system, and that system carries less power than the 4.1 system.

I am working on obtaining review models of the 4.1 and 5.1 Klipsch systems. Should make for some interesting listening; i'm really looking forward to them. Hopeully those units will come in soon.
