Altec Lansing 641 Speaker System

Is this speaker set really one of the best? quoted from this website

I am looking for some new speakers and i saw this article.. i can get them for around $149.00 from the web, and i was wondering if it was worth it, or if anyone else knew of some nice speakers under $150.00

Well I havent seen any reviews of those Altec Lansinq speakers though I have seen them at Circit City and they seemed fairly well made besides the fact that the subwoofer has a really cheap feeling paper cone. Otherwise it seemed fairly well made but from everything Ive read the Labtec z560 would probably be your best bet. 3D Sound Surge did a review of the z560 speakers and really liked em and stated taht the problems they had (which overall seemed to be minor) were fixed in the shipping versions. So I'd say look for the z560's and if you can get them for within like $20 of the Altec's buy em 🙂

rseraji, you should really go for the logitech z560s. they kick the sh!t out of those lame-@ss speakers you have asked about, and any other for a matter of fact. also, instead of paying for new speakers, you might want to invest in spelling lessons. 😉

Klipsch are supposed to be the best. I haven't looked at the prices, but they are probably a lot more than that.
