Just download from torrents... much cheaper (free).

never mind newzbin is backup

and to you xyclone, have you used usenet? with a decent server? the indexing service like newzbin is invaluable, you have someone index all contents for you, and you download at speed that your newshost or ISP is able to provide, I have a verizon line at parents home and a Earthlink-RR line at my own place, I get 3M constant download from verizon (unlimted concurrent connections) and 6M from RR, I think that beats BT hands down

dont get me wrong, I still get a lot of stuff (like tv shows) from BT, but for big downloads (games movues etc) i always go with Usenet, no need to wait 4 days on a stupid 21k download while uploading at 40-somethingk

EKKC, just to let u know u can set your upload speed limit with the 'BT Experimental' client.

But yeah, usenet is far and away the fastest way to get "stuff". My 8Mb Comcast line is always maxed out on Giganews. Can download a DVD-R in around an hour.

🙁 Sniff, sniff. Takes me the better part of a day to download that same amound of data on my 1Mbit connection.
