Alright, why is it that girls seem to love assholes? Anyone else see this trend? Care to share?

One of my best (girl) friends is dating a stuck up jerk that almost everyone in the grade seems to hate. When asked "if you could live without another person, who would it be?" 8 out of 10 people said it was this guy right here. But somehow my moralful honors student friend seems to love this stuck up dumass loser that to raises himself by belittling others. She says that he's a real sensitive and caring person deep down inside and that she found this out when she read his memoir where he writes about how him not having much confidence as a child is the sole reason for his asshole qualities now. Why do girls have to find the guys that are assholes on the outside and supposedly are sensitive deep deep under 25,000 tons of concrete and sand? If you want someone sensitive and caring, why not just find someone who's that way through and through? I thought i understood people but i'm just getting more and more confused. Anyone else see the same trend?

Na, my friend's not the low self-esteem kind. What pisses me off is that this asshole guy's suddenly gotten real nice and squishy with me, it makes me sick. Zoltar, explain this alpha male concept, i'm not familiar with it.

Those jerks are usualy "tougher" as in they push everyone around and are mean etc. wemen like them because they feel that they are superior to others. Nice guys(like me) usualy get stepped on by others because they are just too nice, girls like guys who are superior(the ones that step on the "inferior" nice guys. Oh yea and dont forgetNice guys finish last.

Like they always say, nice guys finish last. If I am super nice to a girl, she ends up dumping me. If I play hard to get and act like a jerk, they chase me like I am the last guy on the planet.....who knows the psychological reasons why.....

A few years back I was dating a girl who was a swimsuit model (I might even be able to dig up some magazines she was in), but she had at least 50 guys that would call her a day. It finally got to me, and I turned into a real dick....guess what, after I dumped her she chased me for two years.... anyway, I would be interested to hear the female side of this.....come on women, I know you are secretly reading this thread.....
