Alright...which resolution is more useful for multitask: 1600X1200 or 1680X1050 ??

Well, what do you guys think? I am getting a 21 inch LCD monitor soon and I am debating between a widescreen or regular screen.

I will be using the monitor primarily for school work such as research, essay writing, office work such as word, excel etc...

Of course there are gaming too and the games i play the most are Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty

which resolution is more useful?

It's really personal preference, I suggest you go to a store and just look at the two and compare.

In my opinion widescreen is more useful since you can have 2 documents open side by side.

So little difference it doesn't matter. Buy either one. It's just what you prefer at that point.
