I have a non-voltage-tweak mobo. But I am sooooooooo dying give it a shot. (since XP1600 is so cheap)
But I am not going to change the mobo! (I like my mATX for the size and stability)

I know how to close up the L1 bridge and I also know the L11's voltage diagram.
But, does anyone ACTUALLY successfully increase their CPU voltage by close few pin on their L11 bridge?

> i have an aroia that runs 172 fsb @ default voltage, waiting for my samsung ddr333 to push it further.

I just ordered one of those 1600 AGAIO chips. I was only shooting for 160FSB from present 141. Looking forward to that leap. My MB won't take any advantage of ddr333 though, it is an old a7a266.

Where can normal people get the new Thoroughbred's??? I need a Rev. B of Thoroughbred's.... my 1ghz machine is dying here 🙁

Can you at least tell me when I can expect them to be for sale to the public?

🙂Newegg has the T-bred 2200+ for $152. other places are selling them as well. The 2400+ and 2600+ are scheduled to be released Sept 13th I think. I saw some place pre-selling the 2600+ for $297. I'll wait till they come down a little. I got my T-bred 1600+ here on AT. I think it's an engineering sample tho cause it's factory unlocked and I don't think they're supposed to be.😀

r they all factory unlocked? btw, the tbred run hotter right?

NOOOOO!!! They run cooler. Stock vcore is 1.5v. Mine ran at 28c at 1.5v. I'm running 185 x 9.5 @1758mhz, 1.7vcore and 2.65vdimm and it only goes to 36c at load. I've looped 3Dmark2001 for 6 hrs. and it's only gone to 36c. To my knowledge they're not all factory unlocked, I think mine is an engineering sample cause it is unlocked and AMD doesn't even recognize a 1600+.

cool. how did u land an unlocked one? did u get it from that guy on FS/FT? btw... i thought i read that tbred's actually were hotter becuz the die shrink resulted in less area for heat dissipation (spelling?) 😕 or did that only apply to the higher clocked or o/c'ed tbreds?
