Alright, Stupid T60 is Acting Up

So lately my laptop has been giving me error messages about not being able to connect to a service. The program that throws this message is the Computer Security Solutions. So my encrypted private drive disappeared and my wireless network is acting up too. Usiing the thinkvantage connection stuff I can't connect to my home lan anymore. But if I let windows handle it, it works fine. Wthell is going on? I haven't changed anything on the system.

sounds like some software issues. i have a T42 and try not to use all those extra services, but you don't need them. if you want to keep using them, search for new versions.

Client Security Solution isn't friendly for consumers......unless it's managed by your at work IT staff. I'm not trying to insult your technical ability by the way.

Access Connection is great, but be sure that your work's IT config doesn't include any group policy settings on wireless, as that break's AC and you should upgrade to the latest version... The older versions which typically ship on the preload had a memory leak.

Sounds like your private disk volume unmounted.... you should be able to go in and change the config via private disk, so show it again and pull you data from it BEFORE uninstalling Client Security - if work allows you to... Don't know if this is a personal system or not.. 🙂

Sorry to go off topic, but how are the T60s? My company is upgrading all of our T41s to T60s (3 year turnaround) and I have to upgrade around 40 of my users. Are they stable? We are imaging them so we wont have any of that comes-with-software but I would like to know if they are stable in general. I remember when we upgraded all of our R32s to T43s and the initial T43s crashed like mad until we had to do firmware fixes.
