Note that they're all dual core, but not a single one of 'em seems to be anywhere near full time. The highest RAC is 254.76? Hmmm. Size (i.e., quantity) does matter. :)

Could also be it's not legit. ;) Only the admins of the project could tell us for sure, but I get a little suspicious especially when the number of hosts is in the hundreds or thousands. Certainly, he could be in some kind of IT Director type position, and love the concept of Distributed Computing as I do, but at some point you've gotta be asking yourself about the costs of the electricity involved as well as wear and tear on the machines. That's a heck of alot of host to have singular control of - and tio dedicate and significant quantity to DC efforts? Seems a little screwy to me.

Maybe he is adding hosts via virus. Now wouldn't that be interesting....

Sure looks suspecious to me. I seriously doubt that somebody with access to nearly 10,000 PC's could get away with running a DC client on them.

It's the wrong link.

But on the Rosey forums, they explained it like this: These machines alkl roll back at night to theit initial state, like PCs in a college PC pool. So, every morning, when they fetch WUs from Rosey, they generate a new PC entry. That's also why their RAC is so low, they only have 24 hours to send in work, then they reset, and start all over again.

Ah I see ,how does R@H idenify a PC then? is it just a randomly (but sequential) assigned number/ID?
