Alright people...music is SUBJECTIVE

Deeko

Lifer
Some people here just don't seem to understand this concept. There is no such thing as "good" music or "bad" music. Music is completely opinion based, is that REALLY so hard to understand? What I think is good, you may not, what you think is good, I may not. You can't say "god rap sucks there is no talent" or "man I hate rock music, its all the same". How do you define true, good music? If you like to listen to it. That's it. I may listen to a song and can't stand it, to me it isn't good music. I might still recognize that there is musical talent behind it, but to me it still isn't good music. Is this concept REALLY that diffuclt to grasp? Just shut up and listen to what you like to hear.

Actually right now I'm listening to G-Unit. Before this I was listening to Tool. Yes, there are Timberlake songs on my playlist. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Just keep your boat the fsck out of my lake, you freak. 😀

People here will never understand this. They think that people have to like what they like. Anything that they don't like sucks, and the people who like it are idiots.

although I agree with you Deeko, so is religion, politics, etc. yet we have a whole sub forum for politics & I can count on at least 1 thread a week(exaggerated) to turn into a religious flame war. These forums support it....it's called a debate.

Granted, alot of people don't back up their opinion with anything, but like Wag said, everything is subjective.

Your impeccable logic is no match for the boundless stupidity on this board.

While music and taste is subjective, facts supporting or refuting religious or political ideologies are not. One CAN use objectivity while debating religion and politics. One cannot do so when arguing over what is beautiful or what music is "good."

I don't know why you wasted your time trying to explain the obvious to this group... there are some "grade A" idiots in ATOT..

yeah, yeah... i know.. [insert music genre here] still sucks.

true, but I meant in the sense that if someone said that all republicans are wrong, christianity is wrong, evolution is wrong. You may believe that one of these are wrong based on a facts, but saying such & such is wrong is not a fact. 😕😕😛
