man..the readme doesnt even matchup w/ what is there...so following directions doesnt work....and if i try to install the rpm, it says its already installed, if i try to uninstall the rpm it says it isnt installed..and meanwhile it doesnt run..old ver or new ver. :|

Hmm I never have problems installing Moz...

OK, first check what you've got installed:

#rpm -aq |grep mozilla

On my box this gets me:

mozilla-0.9.4-0
mozilla-devel-0.9.4-0
mozilla-psm-0.9.4-0
mozilla-mail-0.9.4-0

If you use nautilus it will get listed also, you'd better keep that.

remove the old mozilla stuff (all of it) & install the new stuff.
If that doesn't work: use the "force". 😉

Btw: did you use rpm -i (install) or rpm -U (upgrade)?
What distro are you running?
There are several that use rpm.
