The recipe looks good! What kind of dark rum do you usually use? I might have to try this over the weekend.

Ingredient whore alert.

So I don't like instant pudding - is there a problem with that? Sheesh!

I used Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. I like the flavor of the spices in the cake. :) And yes, the recipe is VERY tasty. Produces a nice moist cake and the bottom is *dripping* with the rum glaze.

FWIW, you can add more rum to the glaze, up to one cup, without hurting the recipe. Oh, and don't quite bring it to a boil or all the alcohol will be for naught. ;)

Finally, around 3:00PM I snuck a fifteen minute nap in while driving to a clients office.

I feel tipsy just reading the recipe. :p

I added a little extra just to be safe. ;)

To the cake, or to the cook? ;)

BOTH! :D:eek:

 Good call. When in doubt, add more rum.

Two for me, one for the cake. Two for me, one for the cake. ;)
lol, that got me to actually laugh out loud as rare as it may seem :p

How hard is it to replace instant pudding with regular pudding?
