seeing as the monster is in a different class than the japanese supersports (i believe the corresponding ducati is the 998), there isn't a comparison.
and 100% agreed - no need to trainwreck this thread. all bikes are sexy and awesome (except maybe harleys minus the v-rod)
Well, I'm comparing them because the Ducati is as light and because it handles and brakes like a supersport. It isn't quite as fast top speed or 1/4 mile but for the type of riding I do only a sportbike would be comparable. The Triumph Speed Triple would be up there too because it is more powerful but it is also a good bit heavier.
I love this bike...so much fun to ride! So rewarding to ride well and it makes such beautiful noises!
A friend of mine who has been riding an older GSXR750 for a few years just bought a Kawasaki ZX10R, he's had it for about 5 months now and put about 4,000 miles on it. He says it is just scary fast, twitchy at times, and you really have to be on your game to ride it because it will bite you if you make a mistake. He loves that bike but he's just beginning to get comfortable getting a knee down with it. It's a great track machine...not a great street bike.
