Looks good. I wouldn't wait for the KR7A-R, it offers nothing new over any of the current KT266A motherboards, and you've gotta wonder why Abit is having so much trouble bringing it to market. I personally would pick up a Epox 8KHA+ and a Promise Fasttrack 100 TX2 card. The Promise card will give you great RAID performance, and the TX2 cards are designed for PCI speeds of up to 66mhz, so if you get into some high FSB overclocking, PCI speeds even in the 50's will not affect your data. The Epox and Promise card will be about as much as the KR7A-R alone and you will be getting two proven products. Other than that, it looks great.

good move replacing that delta fan w/sunon 80mm. I did that with two computers at work and they are as silent as empty space. I've even ordered an sk6 w/sunon 80mm for myself at home... should be seeing them in a few days. I also have the slot loading DVD drive. I love that drive. I feel like my CD-RW takes forever switching CDs compared to it. Anyway.. it looks like a good system to me!

what are you doing for Powersupply and Case? I'd probably get some extra case fans if you don't have some already... that rig also looks like it will need at least a 350watt PS as well.. I'd make sure you have all those things in order.

You must be pretty desperate to get this baby setup considering the XP2000+ will be out in 6 weeks.

Yeah I'm using the same monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. I'll get upgrades for those when I recover from this cash drain. I have been waiting to build my comp for 9 ***nine*** !!!!9!!!! Months!!!! Arghhhhhh just way tooo long. I have been using the worst POS Daewoo P3 system on the planet. Trust me, this thing is worse than any computer I've ever fixed, built or repaired. I just haven't had the money to do my own. I'll go with the 1800+ with hope that I can OC it to 2000+. I don't care any more. I want a decent comp!!!!
