My local Sam's Club had a Brewmaster's Collection of Blue Moon brand. It had 8 Pale Moon, 8 Full Moon, and 8 regular Blue Moon. I tend to stick with Blue Moon since I can get it at regular grocery stores.

Newcastle, Guinness
Heineken Premium Light > all other light beers and doesn't taste like shit
Blue Moon is nothing special
I like Red Stripe too, but you might not like it when you first starting drinking
Stay away from Belgians at first. Personally, they all taste like burnt hotdogs to me.

I just don't understand the hate for domestics. My favorite beer is an Import but the Domestics are perfectly fine. I guess it's just the beer snob people that speak down on them.

You are right I think. I used to drink them all the time before I knew any better, so I guess I'm a slight 'beer snob'...but nothing crazy or anything. I just always heard that I would laugh at domestics once I tasted some higher quality beer, and it's true. I'll have one every now and then, but I usually stray away.

there are alot of great domestic beers. the macrobrew domestics you guys are probably speaking about (bud, miller, coors) are all terrible. they do make some good brews, but those ones are just bad..

yeah the major american brewery's are all a bunch of piss water

I am sure a Shirley Temple beats out a Rum and Coke too, eh?

yes. the reason why coors light wants you to drink their piss water ICE COLD OMFG is because the cold masks how bad it really tastes. same goes for all the other light beer shit that comes from the other brands. they are all the same. (bud, bud light, coors, coors light, mgd, miller lite, etc)

Now i am talking mainly about their mass marketed brews. bud american ale is passable, and so is blue moon and some other stuff they put out. why drink that stuff for $4 at a bar when you can get something better for an extra buck?

Rochefort 10
Chimay Blue (but all Chimays are good)
La Fin du Monde
Westmalle

Good list, nice layout, but I have to correct you. La Fin du Monde isn't a Trappist beer. It's not even from Belgium. You may say that it's an abbey-style ale, though. ;)

Good choice for first beer. There's other stouts I like better, but Guinness was my first love, so it's special :^)
