For the past year, I could not decide on what to major in, so I just took the core classes that every major required. I've been putting off deciding what I want to major in for a while, and tonight's the night I'm deciding (I'm registering in the morning). I originally went for Computer Science, but it's about as interesting as a rock, so I'm changing it. I've narrowed my choices down to the following:
1) Communications (advertising/public relations option): I think this would be cool because I could definitly see myself working for a newspaper, which would be cool, or even at an advertising firm. What other kinds of jobs are in this career field, and do you think it would be hard to find a job with this degree?
2) Psychology: I've always thought about becoming a high school counselor, or working in a high school administration. What other kinds of jobs can be found in Psychology, besides the obvious choice of becoming a psychologist?
3) Information Studies: What exactly is it? One of my friends (whom I just got off of the phone with) told me that it would be good, since I'm an organized person. He said it had something to with managing a businesses information, and mentioned web developement.
4) Criminology/Criminal Justice: A career in law enforcement would be cool, at least I know my life wouldn't be boring
Besides, I could get a job with the IRS, FBI, or even the DEA with this degree.
Out of those 4, which would you choose? If you know anyone who has a degree in any of these, could you tell me what they are doing, and if they enjoy it.
THANks!!!
