Never mind...found the answer:

» operates in tandem with an Alpine receiver (Ai-Net connection) or as a stand-alone unit (preamp outputs send signal to your in-dash receiver's auxiliary inputs)
» can be installed in a double-DIN dash opening, or custom-mounted in a remote location
