'Alphonso' software, tracks user's TV viewing habits via smartphone apps.

I'm always wondering if any of my apps are listening in. A couple of days ago my daughter was watching PBS. We never watch it but for some reason that day she was. The next day I got an email from PBS asking for a donation. I've never gotten an email from them before. Maybe it's just a coincidence.
