I had the original version of this unit, the new one is even better. For a limited time using coupon code ALPHA60, you can get it for $59.99 (plus $3.95 shipping).

This unit retails for $179.99.

If you have a diabetic pet, I'd recommend adding supplies to bring your order to $100 for free shipping.

You will need a prescription from your vet I believe to be able to order.

ADW.com is a great company with great customer service.

I believe the deal is for everyone. It's possible it is only for previous customers. Even at $152 (ADW's price on this without coupon), I'd recommend it.

a diabetic pet. now ive heard it all.

Not sure what you mean, nor is Hot Deals a place to take a dump. Pet diabetes is a genetic condition usually as opposed to diet like humans. It's showing up more as our pets are living longer and longer lives like people.

Geez, don't be so damned sensitive. Go have a beer or something. Never heard of a pet getting diabetes which was what my post implied. Get over yourself.

Queue age old debate of the accuracy of animal vs human glucose meters.

The AlphaTrakII is what many vets use for instant tests. It's designed with pet's in mind from the start and you 'code' based on dog or cat.

You can obtain good results with a 'people' meter, but you need to calibrate based on one made for a cat or dog to get what's optimal. Also this may not scale at the extremes depending on unit. Also AlphaTrak has the lowest sample size out there and the newest test strips make gathering a sample much easier on a pet.
