Alphacool.de Warning!

Well, on Feb 4th I had ordered over $350 in watercooling equipment from Alphacool and had it shipped via DHL which should only take a day or two for international shipments.

Anyways, nothing ever showed, Alphacool told me two different ship dates, gave me an invalid tracking number, and has since stopped all communication. I advise everyone to stay far far away from them. This is absolutely ridicolous that they are stealing my hard earned money.

Here is more detailed explaination of the events: On Feb 10th 2006, I asked for an update of my order #XXXX. I received a response on Feb 13th that it had shipped on Feb 6th. I then sent another email on Feb 13th asking for a tracking number. I received a response on Feb 14th with the tracking number: 393120148826 for DHL and that my package was shipped on the Feb 7th. Now I have conflicting ship dates and the DHL tracking number does not work. I sent another email on Feb 14th asking why the tracking number doesn't work. I have never received a response. I also sent another email via their website on Feb 25th asking where my order is and why I havn't received it. I still have not received a response from them about my order. And next day shipping by DHL shouldn't take 3 weeks to ship.

Paypal should HOPEFULLY protect you... They always seem slow to react, just gotta wait a bit... I know it's hard too.
I wish you luck. 😉

Yea I hope paypal does. One of my friends just got screwed and they did nothing about it...but luckily he paid with a CC through paypal so he just took it up with the CC and got his money back.

Yeah, that's what happened to me once.... Paypal just too forever, so I called my CC company... I love Capital One.

Call DHL and ask if they picked up from that shipper.

I asked them to comment on this forum. Using Google for both a web and groups search, I did not find any other complaints voiced. Any chance of a customs screw-up?

A rep from the company has been helping me out on the Hardforums. Got them to track the package and they claim it was lost so they sent another package out today.

Sucks that it took all this to get them to respond to me though, but at least in the end they are coming through.

Rule #1-- Never ever burn bridges....
Rule #2 -- Its always best to understand that somethings take time.

Also a quick note --- This happens alot especially in Eorpean countries...
mainly becuase the average hands on unskilled worker get treated crappy so its not that unuasual for a package to be picked up and signed for and then in the handling process get misplaced--or mis -appropriated....

I am glad your problem turned out just fine!!

I understand packages get lost and stuff, but the problem is there was a COMPLETE lack of communication for over two weeks.

After reading your initial post I got REALLY pissed. I hate being jerked silly on internet orders. So much so that I'll pay a premium to avoid it. I'm glad you've gotten a positive response and I hope the entire issue is resolved soon. For the sake of my sanity, and that of internet buyers everywhere, please post back when your shipment appears. 🙂

ok.....but you know they probably assumed it was delivered and thus the lack of communication.

I have never known these companies to call and ask if you recieved the product you ordered.

The bottom line is all turned out well.. 🙂

I don't understand why you seem so intent on making excuses for bad customer support/service, Yoda. Do you REALLY think that a person who's been hosed as bad as the OP actually wants to hear excuses, especially from someone who is in no way involved? An no, the "bottom line" is that no one should be stupid enough to order from these guys until they get their ducks in a row.

Come on, dude!

This idea is great. Assuming the OP didn't try several times to contact the seller to find out where the package was. It's silly to make the lame excuse you make. How can they assume the package was delivered, when they receieved at least three emails asking for the package and/or tracking number. It seems pretty obvious that if they got several emails asking for the package, that it would be safe to "assume" the package did not, in fact, get delivered...

I have never been called asking if package x arrived from any company either. However, on the rare occassion when a package did not arrive in a timely manner, and I communicated this to the company, I always got a response within 48 hours. There is no excuse for a lack of communication for a week or more. i agree, this was bad customer service. But I also agree it's good things worked out in the end, though the experience getting there was severly lacking.
