alpha tag on gsm phone

Is there any way to change the alpha tag on the nokia 8390 phone? I just got this phone and signed up with T-mobile. But, it says Cingular on it. It's no big deal but it's kind of annoying since I don't have Cingular. I've read it's not possible to change it on gsm phones. Or do I need to take it to a Cingular store?

The right "people" can change it. The same ones who do unlocking, etc.

See if the logomanager software at www.logomanager.co.uk supports your phone and that you have an infra-red port on your PC.

If it does, then you will have no problems.

You might just take your cell phone to your provider's office or store. I had a nokia 3360 on SunCom - and then switched to Cingular. They are supossed to be able to change it, but they couldn't figure out how to change mine (not that I care) but they usually WILL do it for you.

T-Mobile can do a "push" from their switch over the air to your phone to send a new Alpha Tag.
