Alpha Socket 775

Anyone know anything about this heatsink and how it performs (I can't find any reviews). I'm getting a core 2 duo and will probably do a little o/c...nothing extreme. I was interested in this b/c it uses the 92mm fan and not an 80mm. Any advice or other recommendations?

I wondered about this myself too as I have always been a big Alpha fan but was told that the Alpha's traditional heatsink technology has been surpassed with the newer heat pipe technology and from my personal experience it seems to be true.

I went with the Arctic Cooling "Freezer 7 Pro" bought here but you can get it from newegg and other places. The Tunic Tower is probably the most popular cooler right now but Thermaltake, Zalman, and Scythe all make good products too.

I am using the Alpha to cool my 6400@3200 and it works fine for me.

The mounting system can get a little tight for boards that don't have alot of space around the CPU socket, but it is pretty easy to install and can be removed without pulling the board from the case.

FrostyTech reviewed the Alpha 8150 and it did pretty well. The PRE9060M93 has more surface area and uses a 92mm fan so thermal and acoustic performance should be significantly better.
