Sega's spy-based action RPG, Alpha Protocol, finally gets a release date after being delayed last year. Alpha Protocol will hit store shelves on June 1st for the PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

Alpha Protocol covers a modern-day rookie CIA agent Michael Thorton as he tries to uncover a conspiracy behind a missile attack on a passengar airliner. Like an episode of 24 or the Bourne movies, players will be have to decide who to trust and who to kill as they progress through the game. Players will be able to customize Thorton's skills, attributes, and weapons to suit their style of play.

Gamers that pre-order Alpha Protocol through GameStop will receive the Exclusive Assault Pack, containing exclusive weapons and ammo like the UC Regulator high damage shotgun and Rittergroupen Grizzly high accuracy rifle.

It will be interesting to see how this game turns out with the delay and now that it will be in the wake of Mass Effect 2. It looks promising so I hope it's worth playing.

I'm torn on Alpha Protocol. The game definitely does seem like Mass Effect 2 set in the real world. But at the same time, it doesn't seem to compare graphically. Animations look clunky at times.

Look interesting, will have to see how this one pans out. Still trying to get through Assassin's Creed 2 that I bought a couple weeks ago.
