Out of those coolers which would be the best for mild overclocking?

I don't really want to spend NZ$115 on the Alpha PEP66 or NZ$100 Alpha FC-PAL35. Would the Chrome Orb be able to take my T/Bird 750 to say 900?

alpha pep66 and Fc-Pal35t will perform samething, however if with chrome orb, of course alpha the winner, my suggestion take globalwin fop-38, it will more better than chrome orb, about the prices fop38= us$25 and the crome orb us$15 ( 2cooltek.com)

I don't think I would recommend the Chrome Orb. I've been trying to get one to work on my system with no luck. The system won't get past the hard drive detect. Looks like its not seating evenly from looking at the thermal paste. Only about a third of the chip is touching the bottom of the h/s. Maybe I'll try something different.

You guys are all wrong! You can't use a Pep66 or a FC-PAL35 on a socket A CPU, unless you take off the little feet.

If you are going alpha you need the newer 6035 w/ the redisgned clip.

I think golden orb/crome orb sux. I used to have one on my 550E@733 and I replaced it with an alpha. 8-10C drop. Also some alpha kits may come w/ some nice HS compound that is packaged(made?) by alpha

The PEP66 fansink is really designed for slockets even though it does work on some Motherboards, its a matter of luck as the fan mounted on the side can confict with capacitors on the board.

However if you have the socket on the board oriented the right way the PEP66 can work out fantastic because the PEP66 fan can then line up perfectly with either the front case fan or the air inlet under the powersupply & you can get a great flow through effect (perfect for ducting), as long as the fan is blowing the right way.

So some people did reply :) I've changed my mind and will

A) Get the GlobalWin FOP32-1/FOP32
B) Get the GlobalWin FOP38

Which is better? And fan noise is an issue!

I modded my PEP66 to work on a SocketA board. All you have to do is flip that white shroud thing around so the fan is sticking up, and put the screws in, but not in the holes your supposed to put them in, put them inbetween 2 of the fins instead, then you will have a nice PEP66 that works great, and fits on all boards.
