Alpha PAL8045

Is this heatsync/fan adequate to cool an Athlon 64 3500+?

the 8045 is a socket A only heatsink that uses the 4x holes on some of the mobo. It can't be mount on the Athlon 64 socket.......unless they make an adapter for it.

Yup, the 8045 is socket A only. Alpha makes the 8150 which is compatible with the 754 and 940 sockets (not sure about 939).

939 is the exact same as the others, so it should work fine with any A64 setup

i remember when i had an alpha on my p3 slot1 600e @933 hehe
