To my knowledge, neither of the KT266A Soltek boards will fit large heatsinks like the Alpha or the Swiftech..:(

If you look at this picture, you can see that there is a capacitor near the top corner of the CPU socket, as well as two near the bottom of the socket. I am fairly sure at the very least the upper capacitor would cause a problem with the Alpha, and most likely the lower ones too. :(

sh!t..was hoping to do some o/cing when i get my new board and proc but maybe not now. i will be getting a retail xp-1800 so i will have a hsf for it but i was hoping to use the retail for my t-bird and then the alpha for my xp. now
i don't know what to do.
keep the alpha on the t-bird and get another hsf for the xp?
or get a board that will work w/ the alpha?
suggestions?

i don't really want a mobo w/ raid cuz i won't use it anyways. i do however want ata133 and a good o/cing mobo but it must be a reasonably stable board. which is why i went w/ the soltek to begin with. i already have a GA-7DX for my t-bird and that is rock solid but offers nothing in the way of o/cing.

thanks for the link...but it says that i should even have been able to put my alpha on my giga-byte board. guess it's in the same category as the DXR board
