Alpha P7125 Modify ???

In A&A review of CPU coolers they mention removing the thermal plate and attaching the Alpa direct to the core. In the article it is said there is a procedure to modify heatsink to do so.Anyone of this and where I could read up on it. Thanks In Advance,Butch
