you'll want a case with some room tho, b/c this is a BIG heatsink. preferably, you want the powersupply in the case to be completely ABOVE the motherboard, not beside it as it will obstruct airflow.

Also, either put the Alpha on BEFORE you mount the mother board or remove the power supply so that you have more room to get your hands in to mount it. My preference is to mount the Alpha (or Hedgehog) before I install the mobo in the case.

One more thing, if yuou have a sliding motherboard tray like on the Q500 and are using a grill for the fan, put the grill after you slide the motherboard back in. :)

same setup...

in a SM750 case it was tight trying to put it on an installed mobo, so do it on the mobo outside the case.

Also, <DISCLAIMER>im a moron</DISCLAIMER>, you'll note grooves along 2 edges of the HS contact plate. make sure one of these grooves is overlapping the edge of the ZIF socket closest to the edge. doesnt make sense as i write it, but look and you'll see. i didnt do that, got the HS resting on the ZIF socket, and wasnt making good contact with the core. no damage, noticed before i powered up, and fixed it.
