Alpha HeatSink adapter for a 462 socket?

Hey,
I bought a new motherboard for my AMD Athlon, the old motherboard had four drill holes in the board for the Alpha HeatSink pal8045 to bolt into. My question, albeit a stupid one, is the CPU fan for the new board, which is a 462 socket without any drill holes, is way - way - way too loud and can I find an adapter to use the clamps on the 462 socket to hold the Alpha heatsink model pal8045. I would like to use the Alpha heatsink, which is much quieter in lieu of the smaller louder cpu fan, is there such an adapter to be had?
Thanks for your time and consideration,

Hey thanks ChampionAtTufshop for the reply,
No, the new fan is only 60mm. I think I bought the wrong damn fan - the rated air flow is only 37.6 CFM. Yet, it fits the 'snap' in the socket base. I guess I just can't get out the Craftsman and drill away on the new board >8'\
I guess there isn't away to adapt the heatsink into the socket base via the socket skirt.
Thanks,

lol
might wanna hold off on the drilling

maybe you can sell the board and get one that does have the holes....its a shame to waste such a nice heatsink lol

Thanks again for your replies! Well - if you need a good heatsink I know where you can find one + a motherboard with four holes too many. I think I will use the new heat sink, but use the 'old' fan with a lower rpm - with the help of a 'clamp' to hold the new & old together with.
see?

No, the fan is what I have. I can 'clip' the older more quieter fan to the new heat sink that straps onto the socket on the motherboard. The smaller, higher rpm fan is too loud.
Make any sense?

Hey ChampionAtTufshop,
Thanks again for replying -
-yea the new heatsink is 60mm x 60mm x 30mm
here is the link to the 'new' fan & heatsink::
new fan & sink

the older & much quiter fan + sink is Alpha pal8045 found here::

old fan & sink

So, if I get your drift I can strap on the older larger fan to the newer smaller heatsink like the pair found here:: heatsink to fan clips
