I have an Alpha 8045T heatsink, and I'm curious, should the fan blow down onto the cpu, or out?

i think i have it down (i'm at work right now) and I'm averaging about 40 idle, 43 gaming.

thanks

every case is different, so i say try both and see for yourself, but i think the majority has it blow down.

Unless you have a duct directly above the fan to take air in, have it suck out.

I am going to try with my 8942 in an hour. I think if you have the fan blowing down on it, then you must remove the shroud. Only use the shroud if you have the air suck out.

If you have a side blow hole it may affect the direction of the heatsink's fan. Some people have them blowing on the 8045, others have it sucking. Just test and figure out which direction is best for your current setup.

Currently I have it blowing out, and my avg temps around 40.

I have a fan on the side of the case blowing in, i'll try switching it after classes tonite.
