Has it de-throned the Taisol 760ckg and the Thermalright Sk6? Also does it fit on the 8k7a? Thanks.

I think it had dethroned them, cooler temps with lower noise (in my experience atleast), and yes, it does fit on an 8k7a, I'm running mine on one right now.

Thanks, i'm gonna ditch my Taisol cgk760 for one. Is it a pain in the a$$ to attach the alpha though?

Yeah, it works a lot better than my old Taisol did and it fits on my EPoX 8K7A+ with no problems.

It's sorta hard to attach it, but not really. Attaching the heatsink to the board is pretty easy, but attaching the fan to the heatsink is a real pain. Alpha gives screws that only go through the bottom holes of the fan, so you have to angle the screws to get them in and all kinds of things. Overall, installation of it took me a little over an hour, but it was definitely worth it. With a 120mm Panaflo L1A intaking and another 120mm Panaflo L1A exhausting in my case, I can run my 1.4GHz T-Bird (running stock everything) at about 36 degrees C. That's a pretty giant improvement over my Taisol CGK760092. And, the best part about the Alpha is it's nearly impossible to hurt your CPU during installation. When I was installing it, there were quite a few times that I had to push the heatsink down really hard onto the CPU, and I kept getting afraid I was going to crush the core, but the springs on the Alpha absorbed it all and my CPU had no problems. Yeah, it's a great heatsink :)
