just bought an alpha pal6035, and the shroud doesnt fit all the way down on the heatsink. there are a couple of protrusions on the shroud which i can only assume are to have it fit firmly. should i bend these suckers a bit or what? anyone else have this problem with shrouds?

I have that HSF and I remember some type of protrusions or stand offs. I think they're there no keep the shroud from setting directly on the sink, so you probably don't want to bend them.

I have the same one - the protrusions are there to make the shroud stand off the top of the pins on the sink. THis makes it so your screws will fit properly through the fan assembly and not go down too far and break your cpu.

The fan gets better airflow if it's not setting directly on the heatsink. Those notches help keep the fan a little bit above the heatsink.
