I've been here since April of last year. In that time I've seen alot of changes. People come and people go. I miss alot of the people that used to come here regularly. I miss alot of the insane sh*t people used to post here. I come here now and there are too many new "faces", it just doesn't seem like the same place anymore. Too many people posting threads about things I have no interest in, know nothing about, or aren't fun/funny to me anymore.

I've been using the "crazy person" avatar for a really long time, but now they changed its look and I'm not so sure I want to keep it anymore, but I can't find an avatar that I like more, and hasn't been used to freaking death. The forum design change doesn't bother me so much, it's like any new thing: It just takes getting used to.

But where is everybody I used to know and "love"? Will Dennilfloss ever be allowed to come back? Where's Red Dawn, and WombatWoman, and Killbat, and Windogg, Adul are you out there? Where is everybody???

I don't come here nearly as often as I'd like to, but it seems like when I do, old "faces" have vanished into oblivion, to be replaced by new "faces" that are all of a sudden Golden Members/Diamond Members/Platinum Members..... It's like am I still at AnandTech's Off Topic Forum or has somebody replaced it with a "reasonable facsimile thereof"?

Don't get me wrong, I still like it here. I still feel like AT's OT is my "home away from home". It's just that sometimes I miss the old days and the old "faces".....


Don't mind me, I'll be fine. I'm just feeling a bit nostalgic and lonely🙁 -kd5-
 
Seasons change my friend, the leaves fall down into the sewers, making room for newer leaves to grow, some were replacable, some were not--but there's no question that no matter how special the leaf that grew on the tree, time will get the best of it.
