Almost upgrade time.. going from a BFG 6800GT AGP

I am running a 3400 a64 with a raptor, 1gb memory and a 6800gt...the 8800 series card it too much and usually prefer to stay at the sweet spot arena.

i am planning going to the darkside (conroe), my first in like 4 years..everything has been AMD.

i would like a decent vid card, dual dvi as I am running two of the dell 20inchers...i looked at the 7950gx2 on newegg for 239.00....is that around the sweetspot for performance value? Has ATI finally gotten their drivers to work properly? I do not mind going back to them, but this BFG 6800gt has been rock solid...like a dream...

thanks..I am getting old now and need to listen and learn from the younger gen here.

if what you mostly do is game, get another gig of ram, drop in an x2 cpu and grab that 8800gtx/s or wait for r600 with the 6800gt still
