It's almost time for me to order all the parts for my new computer; but before I order them, I was wondering what you guys thought of them.

AMD Thunderbird 1.4GHz processor <--- ?
Antec SX1240 Full Tower ATX case
Abit AMD761 Model KG7-Raid motherboard
Gainward GeForce3 PowerPak video card <--- ?
2 - 256MB Crucial memory

Sound Blaster Live X-Gamer 5.1 sound card <--- ?

?: Processor: I don't know if I should buy the t-bird 1.4, or wait for the palomino 1.5. Does anyone have a good idea of when that is expected to be out?
?: Video card: I read that the GeForce3 Ultra will be out this monday. Is this true??? Anyone have a good idea of when it should be out????
?: Sound card: What about the audigy sound cards?? When should these bad boys be out by?

hmmm...looks pretty good....i would change a few things, tho...first off, if you only need 512 megs of ram, why not go with the epox 8k7a mobo...its seems like one of the best ddr boards out right now...the 1.4 seems like it would be your best bet for a processor, just make sure you get a good hsf...i recommend the thermalright sk6...also, for a soundcard, i like the turtle beach santa cruz...it sounds much better than the sblive line of cards, and it also has that cool versajack if you use headphones!!!

Dave127, I keep hearing people say to get the epox mobo, but I've read reviews that said the Asus mobo is better. I'm confused now as to which mobo to get.

Let's say I wanted to get 3 - 256mb ram modules (768mb) ,... would that work?
