Almost nearly as many people download/pirate Lost as those who watch legally

it's difficult to say that in general, since I watch it live every week when I can, AND I'll download it too.

They won't because those people aren't watching ads.
You know the (TV)AA are going to claim they're losing half their market share, but fuck that noise. I guarantee a large amount of those downloaders simply would've missed the show otherwise. And if you miss an episode of Lost, you fall behind on it, and now you're definitely not going to watch next week unless you catch up.

If I'm not mistaken, the 10 million BT downloads are worldwide, not only in the U.S. where the Nielsen number is coming from. Apples and oranges.

That said, I'm glad the networks are beginning to provide legit ways to watch our favorite shows (or catch up as the case may be), even though my laptop doesn't play nicely with ABC's HD video player.

Well I downloaded the first 2 seasons of Lost and got hooked and have been watching it live since. That's got to count for something.

I've streamed a couple episodes I missed on TV from ABC directly but I've never bothered to download any.
