<thread placed in politics because of the anti-gun / anti-violence mindset part of our society has adopted>

My wife and I are were walking around walmart doing some grocery shopping when I saw this kid, who was maybe 6 or 7 years old, using his hand as a gun running around "shooting" imaginary people.

As I watched the child and parent I thought about how liberals may view the situation.

Liberal mindset:

The parent was paying no attention to this future terrorist in training.

I was tempted to call the police, report the parent to the store manager, get child protection services involved and get the parent and child counseling.

Conservative mindset:

Kid running around walmart being a kid.

~~~~~~
Its as if kids can no longer be kids.
Kid brings his boy scout knife to school and is suspended.
Kid makes his pop-tart into a play toy and is suspended.
Stand your ground. Shoot kid now, ask questions later.
LOL I love the butthurt progressives who hate the unchanging fact that our country's culture revolves around guns and the right to self defense.
Honestly I sort of thought that might change. But the latest generation of youngsters have proven that they greatly value the right to self defense and are willing to vote in a manner to make sure that this right is never infringed.
I'm a liberal and the kid was just playing, like I did when I was a kid. But hell no, you wouldn't catch me in a shit hole like Walmart.
Another crappy thread by the OP.
Where are you going to shop then?
Walmart pretty much owns rural america. Are you going to drive 75 miles to shop somewhere else?
When I was the kid's age I was probably running around Walmart with the antique looking cap guns doing the same thing.
Hide behind the isle, "shoot" back, listen for giggles to ensue.
So, you are in texas, in a walmart, and a kid playing with an imaginary gun and you feel you should call the cops? Kid is a future terrorist? I thought all you rural texans loved your guns and start owning and shooting guns at around 5-6. Whats your problem then? Kid not white enough for you or something?
Some people live places with other shopping options besides Walmart.
Nice straw man you built for yourself; do you want to toss in an imaginary chair to argue against while you're at it?
I had a plastic rifle that had 4 different sound settings, from a single shot to what sounded like a full on war being waged for 10 seconds. I can't imagine what kind of shit I would have been in now just for pretending to shoot "the bad guys"/aliens/monsters or whatever else my imagination was creating at the time.
See, you didn't look at how liberals would do/think.. You used the completely made up fantasy idea of what you THINK/wish liberals would think. You are everything wrong with america.
Setting aside the controversial issue of "anti-gun," what exactly is wrong with being "anti-violence"? Is that a problem with our society, that we need to have a more pro-violence mindset? I've never heard that one before. Fascinating.
Thread is based on a real event.
I guess it is difficult for liberals to grasp that kids once had an imagination.
That kid isn't the only one freely using his imagination. You had a daydream that reinforced your political views.
LOL Texas must suck even worse than I thought if you have to drive 75 miles to get to a non-Walmart store.
