(Minor rant)

So why the hell do people walk there dogs without a leash? I almost hit a dog this morning who came in front of my car. Usually when I look it is a guy also walking the dog with the leash thrown over their shoulder trying to look cool. I hate it.

So I am driving to work this morning and I am going along at 50 in a 50mph zone. Next to the 4- lane road is kind of a wilderness area(it really isn't that big maybe 100yards wide) with a bike path that is about 10 feet below the road bed. All of a sudden this big dog comes scrambling up and onto the road. I see the dog and apply my brakes hoping the guy behind me is paying attention. I originally think maybe Coyote but no it is some type of Lab/Mix. At this point the dog stops in my lane and then looks like he is going to bolt across all lanes of traffics and there is traffic coming the other way. I think I am going to see this dog get killed which will suck. He looks at me and then he decides to go back the way he came. I then look down in the wilderness area and what do I see, some guy calling to the dog with a leash over his shoulder. 😡

Cliffs: Almost hit a dog because some idiot thinks walking his dog without a leash is cool.

One of the things that I learned long ago was that a dog has no control over the stupidity of their owner.

Far, far, far, too many people consider their dog a lifestyle or fashion accessory....

Glad that you were able to miss him this time...

So you would put your life in jeopardy over a dog. screw that, next time aim for them.

and mess up your car which will involve insurance and much time and inconvenience? No you compromise given the situation. Why was his life in danger? The worst that could've happened was he got rear-ended on a local road.
