Almost got pulled over by State Police

I believe I was going to get pulled over for doing absolutely nothing by the NY State Police while driving on the parkway. I believe the cop was just looking to pull someone over and I got lucky.
I was driving east on the SSP on the slow lane doing 60mph. On the fast lane another car was driving at around 65mph. Out of nowhere I saw a State Trooper come up in the middle lane about two cars behind both my car and the other car. Usually Troopers just cruise really fast but this one was like stalling for a while deciding what to do.

Finally he gunned it and got behind the car on the fast lane, turned his lights on, when on his side and put his hand out telling the driver to move over to the right side?

I think I got lucky; he made a decision and pulled over the other car?

55, but my Cop friend tells me that they rarely pull anyone for 65

its 55, but they wont pull you over till 70.

I almost got pulled over for driving from the back seat but then I crashed and he rear ended me and it killed him

I think I have a better story about almost getting pulled over. I was driving home at night past 9 when I wasn't old enough to and doing 75 in a 55 in the leftmost lane. Some guy comes up behind me and starts tailgating me like he wants to pass me. I thought, "WTF 75 isn't fast enough for you?" So I tapped my brake just so he would see the light and back off. He did a little bit but then he was doing it again. So then I just switched over without a turn signal and let him pass me. As the guy speeds past me I see the reflective stickers on his car and saw that he was a state trooper. I guess he wasn't in the mood to pull me over though because he went up and turned into one of those U-turn things.

i thoughti was going to get pulled over for speeding. i was cruising at 70mph and a cop sped up in nanoseconds. he turned the sirens on, after i changed lanes, he sped up all the way. he tricked me obviously but i went 70mph in 55 speed limit!

i must be very lucky at that time.

edit: it was a state trooper.

Ok, this is also a boring story but...

We were on our way back from SC, I believe we were in Virgina. My friends moron brother in law is driving and he's doing 85-90 in the fast lane, like he was pretty much the whole trip. A cop comes zooming up behind us with his lights on. So he starts slowing down thinking he's getting pulled over. All of a sudden we hear, clear as day "Don't slow down, just get out of the way." So he moves over to the right lane and the cop flies off. I guess he had a bullhorn built into the car or something (never heard of this myself) and had somewhere he needed to be that was much more important then giving speeding tickets.

why didn't you move over as soon as he started creeping up behind you and getting closer? you are a bad driver for not doing that, he never should have had to back off, you shoulda moved over.

I've got so many "I almost got pulled over stories", but then, I drive up to 60K miles a year.
The latest: Doing probably 75 in a 65 zone, wife points ahead & says"Cop!" (I wasn't paying attention), I kick off the CC, I notice a Cherokee coming around me. I Get past the Trooper, he immediately pulls out, goes on around me and gets the Cherokee!

The Best:
After a Very long stretch of work, driving home around midnight. Had the speedo hand buried (Over 85 mph), up ahead, I see the reflective strip on a State Police car. I back it down, pondering if I should just pull in beside him to get my ticket, or make him pull me over (?).
As I get real close to him, I notice he is behind his cruiser, taking a wizz! Boy, he missed a good one!

Not really. Everyone else in the car was surprised as well. It makes sense, and I guess I had seen it used in movies before now that I think about it but I'd never experienced it first hand. I was just surprised how clear it was.
