Totally free Weekend Day From Hertz - No Minimum rental requirements - Pay just taxes.

Found this in the coupon section at Hertz.com. They're giving away a free weekend day, once a month until the end of March. No minimum keep so rent a car for a day and just pay the taxes and fees. As usual, NYC is excluded, as is Florida and Hawaii. Searched and didn't find this previously posted. Make sure you use PC # 127595 when making the reservation. I got Impala for 4.94 each month with UNLIMITED MILEAGE. With gas prices at an all time low....

Coupon info, etc., at Hertz

Here's a holiday present you can enjoy all winter, with no minimum rental days required.

Now through March 31, 2009, you can enjoy one free weekend day, when PC#127595 is included in your reservation of Economy through Full-size class cars. Only one redemption per month is permitted.

Terms and Conditions: Advance reservations required. Blackouts may apply. Subject to availability, this offer is redeemable at participating Hertz locations in the U.S. (excluding , NY Metro area, Florida and Hawaii). This offer applies to minimum one day weekend rental (weekend defined as pick-up noon Thursday through Noon Sunday), has no cash value, may not be used with Tour Rates or Insurance Replacement Rates and cannot be combined with any other certificate, voucher, offer or promotion. The Free Day value applies to weekend rental time and mileage charges of economy through full-size class vehicles. Hertz age, driver, credit and weekend rate qualifications for the renting location apply and the car must be returned to that location. Taxes, tax reimbursement, age differential charges, upsell charges, fees and optional service charges, such as refueling, are not included. Discounts apply to time and mileage charges only. Bah, what if you want to reserve by vehicle type rather than location?

Also, what exactly does "Economy through Full-size class" mean? It wouldn't let me reserve a Corvette (didn't think it would, but doesn't hurt to try...)

It means the 3 least expensive cars that they have. Typically a ford focus, mazda 6, and pontiac G6, and their equivalents.

You really can't figure out that a corvette isn't included between economy and full-size?

Economy - Toyota Corolla (and others like it)

Full size - Nissan Maxima/Impala

A corvette doesn't fit anywhere in there.

Obviously I didn't think that they would let me rent a 'vette under this deal, but you really think that a corvette is bigger than a full size car? Check your definitions.

Several models of Lexus are technically "full-size", but again, they wouldn't work under this deal. Point is, Hertz needs to be more explicit.

Thanks OP. May take advantage of this.

Seems like after all the fees a two day rental will come out to about $55.

Thanks OP, my in laws were thinking of coming here on the 7th of January and renting a car for one day to get from Nashville and back to make their plane flight, this is going to save some money and for sure put the fire under the butts to want to come out this way since they can rent the car for free. Massively huge appreciation passed to you!
